10 Days East African safari starts from Rwanda to Bwindi forest for gorilla trekking and to DR Congo for a remarkable hiking experience in the world’s most active volcano in DR Congo.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Kigali to Gisenyi in Lake Kivu.
Our representative (your guide & driver) will meet you at your hotel to begin your tour with a visit to the Gisozi genocide memorial site of Kigali after which have lunch and transfer you to Lake Kivu. Dinner and night stay at Paradise Malahide, Lake Kivu Serena Hotel.

Day 2: Hike Mount Nyiragongo
Have your early breakfast and get ready to transfer to Goma border where you will meet your new guide on the Congo side who will drive you to Mount Nyiragongo. The hike begins in the morning hours after short briefing and you will arrive at about 4 or 5pm in the evening. The hike is a great experience with great vies as you ascend the Nyiragongo Mountain to the summit. We recommend a walking stick from the briefing point and a porter to help carry your backpack.
The view at the top is undeniably stunning in the night staring watching the glowing red lava and the mighty fire flames. Dinner and night stay at the summit.

Day 3: Descend the Volcano and Drive to Bwindi
descend Nyiragongo much easier than the hiking and your guide / drive will be waiting for you at the base of the mountain to drive you to Bwindi National park in Uganda.
Dinner and night stay at Mahogany Springs Lodge / Buhoma Lodge.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking
Wake up early for a quick breakfast and drive to Bwindi forest park office where other guests gathered for a briefing on how the gorilla trekking done. You will be split in groups of 8 and allocated habituated gorilla families to track. You will hit the jungle in search for these forest giants and once you meet your group, you will spend 1 full hour watching the gorillas live their lives as they go about their day’s activities. Return back to the briefing point for your tracking certificate and meet your guide waiting to drive you to Kigali for your flight to Nairobi. You will be picked by our representative at the airport in a safari car and transfer to the Hotel in Nairobi.

Day 5: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
our guide will pick you at the hotel and transfer you to Amboseli National Park popular for its incredibly beautiful scenery and the big game including lions, elephants and cheetahs as the main attractions. You will arrive in time for lunch and after this you have an afternoon game drive for over 4 hours in the park. Dinner and overnight at Kibo Safari Camp.

Day 6: Amboseli National Park (Full day)
Explore the Amboseli national park on an early morning game drive for a great game viewing experience, you will  retire for lunch break and embark on the afternoon game drive. If interested in culture, an encounter directly with the Masai people can be arranged for you. Dinner and overnight at Kibo Safari Camp

Day 7: Transfer to Lake Nakuru
Have a morning breakfast at your hotel and get ready to drive off to Lake Nakuru arriving in the late afternoon and do evening game drive. Explore the Lake Nakuru Park on an evening game drive for game that includes buffaloes, reedbucks, warthogs, waterbuck and some sights of leopard. Other wildlife in the park include the White and black rhinos which were introduced in the park towards the southern end. The park has also a hub for more than 400 species of Rhinos residing in this park. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge

Day 8: Transfer to Masai Mara National Park
Wake up early for breakfast and set off for Masai Mara Game Reserve comprises of 1510sq km of open savannah landscapes. Kenya’s Mara offers the best wildlife viewing in abundance harboring over 450 animal species including guaranteed views of wildebeests, zebras, lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, elephant and several antelopes. For the month of July and August Mara offers the remarkable annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti in Tanzania which cross in search of water and pasture. It’s such a dramatic adventure watching as the savanna predators like the lion, cheetah, wild dog, hyena, vultures and jackals prove a threat for the wildebeests and zebras. Dinner and overnight at Mara Simba Lodge

Day 9: Masai Mara National Park.
You will explore and enjoy the Mara wildlife dramas for a whole day as you absorb the beautiful Mara sunset on a clear day from your hotel. Dinner and overnight at Mara Simba Lodge

Day 10: Masai Mara to Nairobi for Departure
you will wake up to a delicious breakfast in the morning and check out of the lodge and head to Nairobi for your flight back home.
