10 Days Uganda tour ending in Kigali Rwanda gives you a chance to meet face to face with the gorillas & Chimps in the natural habitats, nature & cultural walks and many more game viewing opportunities. The trip starts in Kampala and ends in Kigali Rwanda.
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Hotel
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, meet our representative who will be your guide/driver and transfer to your hotel to relax, dinner and night stay at Karibu Guesthouse
Day2: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Drive to Kibale National Park on a full day drive of approximately 7 or more hours. After leaving Enjoy the drive through beautiful agricultural countryside where every type of fruit and vegetable imaginable is grown. We drive through beautiful tea plantations and into Kibale tropical rain forest in the lower foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains. Dinner and night stay at primate lodge.
Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking
After an early morning breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for one of the most exciting wildlife adventures tracking the Chimps. 13 other primate species are seen under a guided walk through the forest as you search for one of the closest relatives of human beings the Chimpanzee. Look out for the black and white colobus, red-tailed, L’Hoest’s, blue monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabey, red colobus, olive baboon and the of course the chimpanzee. Enjoy the beautiful bird singing and can expect to see at least 5 or 6 other types of primate, most probably the grey-cheeked mangabey and the red-tailed monkey and of course the chimpanzee. A nature walk will give you another primate and bird watching moment in Bigodi swamp. Dinner and night stay at primate lodge.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After a delicious breakfast on this day, transfer to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will peacefully be driven to the park towards the south via the Crater Lake area. Continue with a game drive on arrival as you look out for large herds of buffaloes, Elephants, antelopes, and many bird species among others. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari lodge.
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Game drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park for a great game viewing experience for animals like Warthogs, Buffalos, Elephants, Uganda Kobs, Waterbucks, Oribis, Topis, and Giant Forest Hogs. You will have a boat trip of about two hours on the Kazinga Channel for a view on a big population of Hippos and Crocodiles and a recorded number of 296 bird species. Overnight stay at Mweya Safari lodge.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi National Park
Today we’ll drive through the park to the Ishasha region famously known for the tree climbing lions. A game drive in this area will give you 75% success of sighting the tree climbing lions. You will have lunch in this area and proceed to Bwindi forest enjoying the scenic of this country side as you approach the home of the largest primates in the world. Dinner and night stay at Mahogany Springs Lodge.
Day 7: Gorilla tracking
After breakfast, you will take a short drive to Park Headquarters for registration and briefing about the proper guidelines for gorilla trekking. You will then hike into the forest in a group of 8 people in search for the mountain Gorillas. The trekking can take from 30minutes to 6 hours depending on the movement of these apes as they search for food in the forest. The ground is rough and at times muddy requiring you to have the hiking boots to ease your movement. Once the gorillas are located all fatigue is forgotten due to the amazing experience of a face to face encounter with these forest giants. You will later return to the headquarters for your tracking certificate and relax at the lodge waiting for dinner time and night stay at Mahogany Springs Lodge.
Day 8: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After the early morning breakfast, you will drive to lake Bunyonyi a small lake in Kabale district just a few hours’ drive from Bwindi National Park. You’ll arrive in the midmorning hours enjoying the rolling hills of Kigezi area. After a nice lunch at the hotel, you will head for a community walk to interact with the locals and to learn about their daily lives. You will later return to the lodge for dinner and night stay at Bunyonyi Safari Resort.
Day 9: Canoeing at lake Bunyonyi
You will go for a canoe trip on the lake after breakfast to explore the different islands on this lake and to see various birds, communities, landforms. Take as much photographs as you can and have another interaction with the locals in the surrounding communities of the lake. You will have lunch after the canoe and in the evening go for a community/nature walk through the Batwa and Abaheesi communities. Dinner and night stay Bunyonyi Safari Resort.
Day 10: Transfer to Kigali
After your breakfast this morning, you will drive to Kigali for your flight. You will have a short city tour at Gisozi genocide memorial center before heading to the airport for your flight depending on your flight schedule.
