This 4 Day safari takes you to the home of more than half of the world’s surviving mountain Gorillas and to Lake Mburo Park for game viewing. Mburo shelters some of the rare antelopes like the eland which is the largest antelope in the world. The trip starts and ends in Kampala/Entebbe with airport transfers.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National park.
You will be welcomed by our local smiling guide at the airport on arrival and set off for Lake Mburo national park on the same day. Lake Mburo is a small Savannah park with rolling hills and idyllic shores, abundant biodiversity of habitat, swamps, rich acacia woodland and grass land. The park boasts in large herds of buffaloes, warthog, water buck, eland, bush big. Drive to the western part of Uganda with a stopover at the Equator for a photo moment. You will then proceed and arrive in Lake Mburo National park for dinner and overnight depending on your time of arrival.

Day 2: Lake Mburo National Park‐ Bwindi NP
There will be an early morning game drive within Lake Mburo National park. Look out for large herds of Zebras, topis and gigantic eland among others. You will return to the lodge for breakfast then later transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest for gorilla tracking the following day. The distance from Lake Mburo to Bwindi is 272km which is about 4-5 hours’ drive. Arrive in the evening hours to check in to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi
wake up early in the morning to a delicious breakfast at the lodge and head to the park headquarters to meet other guests for briefing and allocation of gorilla groups. Tracking starts at 8:00am in groups of 8 people per gorilla family. You will hit the jungles of the impenetrable forest with a team of trackers and guides. Bwindi has a rich bird life which you will encounter as you track the Gorillas. Once the gorilla group is located you will spend a full hour with them as they feed, rest and play. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Return to Kampala/Entebbe
Have your breakfast early in the morning and return to Kampala through Kabale town for great views of the rolling hills of kigezi. There will be a lunch stopover at Igongo Cultural center for lunch and proceed to Kampala through Masaka. You will be later dropped off at Entebbe International airport for your flight.
